(via AdFreak) With rising online ad costs, the Million Penny Homepage is worth its weight in copper alloy. Imagine - permanently placed ads for a penny-a-pixel. James, the site creator, fashioned a grid of 10,000 blocks of 10 x 10 pixels. Inside the grid go the ads. The broke 36-year-old Branson, MI programmer, still reeling from the dot.bust, hopes that “with a little help, I can pay off some tax debts and get on top of my life again instead of living in a van down by the river!” The site gets a measly 500 hits a day but with enough media hooplah... I know, let's all buy ads for our blogs, then brag blog about the phenom! Then we can blog about getting arrested by for insider blogging. Blue Horse Shoe loves Million Penny Homepage.
UPDATE: James is actually ripping off Million DOLLAR Homepage by 21-year old brit, Alex Tew, that sells pixel blocks for a dollar (and got actual press)
I found this one.
It's something new to me because this guy is giving avaw part of his money to his advertisers. It's something that I haven't seen on other buy pixels sites.
