Speaking of CP + B, Slate's Seth Stevenson (who still can't match the panache, aplomb OR acuity of previous Ad Report Carder, Rob Walker), has a nice paranoid article about a series of emails he received from "readers" about "where they could get the Burger King mask." Seth thinks the winky-nudge-nudge agency is trying to sow viral seeds for the BK mask site by pretending to be inquisitive readers. He may be right. Either way, he's talking 'bout it, sucka. And either way, BKmasks says they're SOLD OUT of King masks. Given enough Captain Morgan's, if I see too many King's on Halloween I may have to lay the smack down and make them my subservient chickens, Jason-style. Of course, even if the masks weren't sold out, it would certainly be in CP+BK [sic] to say they were...
Indeed, a friend in need is a friend in need.

I bought four of the King masks to hand out to friends as kind of a joke. Then after they sold out, I saw that they were going on eBay for upwards of $100. Long story short, my friends didn't get their masks, but I got $344.
