Coke Got A Little Love

Nice work (from summer '05, I know, so shut the fuck up), for Coke from Airside, commissioned by Mother. "The ads show the traditional glass bottles with the logo replaced by the word Love, written Coke-style. Surrounding the bottles are beautiful bold coloured patterns emanating like flowers, reminiscent of the 70s Coke campaigns."

Although I enjoyed this ad on the left for Ambassador Scotch...

...this one, below, by far, was the most effective and ingenious creative in the Communication Arts Advertising Annual.

Subservient Soap

Confess your sins and the "Come Clean" microsite washes them away with a spritz of soap, warm water and the voice of a soothing Indian lady. The AI's specific replies will make you grin. Type 'masturbate' and she says, "Are you familiar with the fiddler crab? It has one regular claw and one really big claw. Think about how it got that way." Kudos for catch-all'responses that neither destroy the illusion nor annoy. You can also read other people's confessions or have them streamed directly to your screensaver. Kiwi Crazy Fast Films are Just That

Kiwi shoe polish's 'Crazy Fast' films are up. They feature a kiwi bird exploding through adderall-fueled adventure rides. Spiffy work! via.

Tommy Gun Vodka

Inside a glass Tommy Gun, Alphonse Capone bottlers loaded top-shelf Polish vodka. Liquor Snob found the distilled grains, "cool to the touch when you first pick it up, but smoky hot when it goes to work." Perfect for a killer New Year's party.

IKEA: A little fabric...

Great lil campaign for Ikea by Forman and Bendefors. Various objects around the city were wrapped with signature Ikea textiles and labeled, "A Little Fabric Makes a Big Difference." It's thrilling to see effective reappropriations of the urban environment, transforming/subverting ordinary objects we take for granted and opening up alternate use opportunities. Accolades, too, for a a guerilla that beautifies, not merely exploits, its habitat. Via.

Pigeonvertising

Crazy Dutch people are using pigeons to advertise. They attach miniature banners on string and turn these flying rats into flying ads. As far as can be made out from Babelfishing, the pigeons can be deployed in large groups in cities of your choice. You can even specify a window at a certain address you want the pigeons to fly by. The action was created by two young creatives: Stef&Yona.
